The monograph explores global and national trends in the development of modern tourism, which occur due to environmental changes under the influence of various factors. The monograph consists of five chapters. The first chapter is dedicated to the theoretical framework of the main economic characteristics of tourism. The second chapter examines the current state of tourism in Ukraine during the war, as the war in Ukraine affects various economic processes in Europe and worldwide. The author proposes directions for the post-war recovery of tourism in Ukraine. The third chapter analyzes the current state of development in Europe and its transformations. The fourth chapter focuses on the global tourism development, highlighting the competitiveness of countries and the impact of tourism on population welfare. The final chapter outlines global and national trends in modern tourism, arising amidst various global changes. The proposed recommendations for implementing digitalization in tourism, through reorientation towards ecosystems and the development of new products and services, will contribute to improving the welfare of the global population with minimal impact on the environment and enhancing the competitiveness of countries in the global tourism market, which underscores the practical significance of the monograph.
